Consorzio di Tutela della DOC Prosecco (Consortium for the Protection of the Prosecco Controlled Designation of Origin) and ICCJ are eager to invite you to experience and deepen your knowledge of Prosecco during two seminars for professionals and wine lovers, within the event Cattolica Assicurazioni Piazza Italia (Sept 18th – 23rd), in collaboration with the Italia Rugby Team for the Rugby World Cup 2019.
A representation of Italian excellence, Prosecco DOC boasts a distinct territory, stretching between Veneto and Friuli-Venezia Giulia; rich in tradition with a favorable climate that gives the Glera grapes unique elegance, balance, and contemporary flair.
The Prosecco DOC includes 24.450 hectares of vineyards, 11.102 grape growers, 1.211 winemakers and 350 sparkling wine houses for a yearly total production of 460 million of bottles and a turnover of 2.4 billion of euro and the Consortium keeps working diligently to promote and protect the uniqueness of DOC denomination.
